Here’s a couple mixtapes to go along with the event too, because you know how I do. ***pops collar*** To me at least, it seems like Ape Gang came out of nowhere and is now regarded as some of the best up and coming artists in the city. I saw them back at The Arts Garage when I was but a virgin in the writing game, I was straight out the Official Street Radio pussy back then. Even though they seemed a bit raw as performers back then the talent was easily apparent. So I was very excited to hear some more of their music especially after hearing so many good things about them very various people I respect. I had hoped to catch them at The Arts Garage last weekend so I could get a handle of how they have changed as performers since then, plus I kinda have a love-hate relationship with the sound system at The Arts Garage. Nonetheless, I figured if nothing else I could see some of the opening acts or talk to Chris Kennedy who was throwing the event, however that event was on super black people time and yeah…Chris was a little busy. I’m sure i’ll catch them and maybe even Chris performing again though. Anyway, if you are free Thursday after you listen to Official Street Radio, of course, come out to Prive for Garci Mixtape Release party. Also if you haven’t done so already check out the new mixtapes from Garci and the rest of the mixtapes from The Ape Gang below. I couldn’t find the tracklist for Don’t Get Shot, but all the rest of the mixtapes are correctly tagged though…you know how I do. ***pops collar then diddy bops out of the post***
