I guess if you were living under a rock or something you may not have heard this or if you refuse to listen to this like I refuse to Diggy, Waka, Willow Smith or really any of the Young Money crew you may not have heard it either. Sorry Diggy, Waka, etc. i’m just not going to listen to your music unless some DJ plays it in a club. Furthermore, the only way i’m going to remain on the dance floor is if some chick is grinding on my dick trying to break it off. THAT’S THE ONLY WAY!!! I probably hate Drake the least of the Young Money crew, which is probably like saying I hate herpes the least of all of the other STDs or something. I don’t think he is terrible and I definitely don’t think he is currently the best rapper alive, same goes for Lil Wayne as you might imagine. Personally, I feel like this mixtape is pretty overrated, but then again hate the term overrated. So I will now go give myself 10 lashes…excuse me…overrated is just such a simple term to throw out there with little no merit. Even if Drake or his fans think he’s the next coming.
I always try to evaluate everything and treat it is as it’s own unique piece of art…I use the term very loosely for some artist. As a result, what I found out when I did listen to this mixtape was that it was decent, had immense potential for crossover appeal, and it was comprised of a couple big songs that could really reach the current fickle ass fans. That’s really how I would describe Drake when i’m not just hating on him for the sake of hating…which is very fun might I add…especially when he wants everyone to love him. He makes good music from time to time that really hits home with a lot of fans right now. He’s not exactly the best singer or rapper, but he’s decent at both…he should probably stick to just rapping at times. I thought his album which I did listen to was decent, not exactly my cup of tea, but decent. So if you haven’t heard this check the tracklisting and link below. Along with a remix the homie DJ Benz did. I’m actually kinda looking forward to the Drake R&B mixtape if for no other reason than downloading it, burning it to CD, pissing on it, and then frisbeeing it…lol I kid…but seriously though.
