I had actually never heard of the Casey Veggies until a little while back when Diz Gibran mentioned Casey Veggies and @fucktyler. The latter I have no clue about. I later found out he was Tyler, The Creator. Shortly, afterward it seemed liked those guys were everywhere, especially Tyler, The Creator. Even though it seems like a bunch of artist are blowing up from the West Coast Casey Veggies and Tyler, The Creator were too I had never heard of until the Diz Gibran co-sign. Since, I love Diz Gibran’s music I was at least willing to give them a chance…even though I haven’t got a chance to listen to much of their music I guess Diz Gibran was right to some extent. Anyway, I originally posted this back when I hoped to see Diz Gibran back in NY at SOB’s. However, due to the weather condition I never got the chance. As fate woud have it, i’m actually going to see Casey Veggies at SOB’s tonight along with Dom Kennedy, Laws, and After The Smoke. I still really haven’t had a chance to listen to much of his music aside from a feature here or there or this particular album. So i’m looking forward to seeing him perform and being formally introduced to his music tonight. Tracklisting and link below for the tape.
