3rd Annual Music and Entertainment Conference!

Damn, I almost forgot about this, but anyway I’ll be in the building pen and pad in hand, iphone, or maybe i’ll bring my new recorder. I was told it is dress to impress so I have to assume that means none of those damn Polo boots everyone is wearing and no Uggs. I would say if you are going to church just wear what you wore to church, not what you wore to the club the night before. While I would thoroughly enjoy that type of attire it may not be the most professional thing to wear to an event like this. Doc Holliday internship interview. YES!!! Marsha Ambrosius “An Evening of R&B/ British Soul”…ohhh yeah and some mixtapes

I was going to include this in next week’s Mixtape Mondays, but since the concert is next Tuesday and i’m just terribly impatient I figured I would do it now. Plus I mean there aren’t a lot of the R&B singers that would meet the following criteria:

A) female R&B singers that I actually like from Philly

B) female R&B singers or R&B singers in general that put out mixtapes

C) R&B singers that I would go to their concerts

D) R&B singers that I sold a TV while working at Best Buy (I wonder if she remembers me…ahh probably not)

So I thought this kinda deserved it’s own section, plus we need to show the ladies some love. Doc loves the ladies, I mean they rev my engine, but they don’t belong in the newsroom! It’s anchorMAN! Not anchorLADY! And that is a scientific fact! Anyway, I always wonder why more R&B singers don’t put out mixtapes, they are usually pretty good. Here are some of Marsha’s mixtapes, hopefully i’ll have a wrap up of the concert and review of her last mixtape, Yours Sincerely, coming soon…and to think years ago I scoffed at the idea of even listening to a Floetry album.
